"Elric The Elf"

In 2009, working to the competition theme "Trapped", the club made the video "Elric The Elf" in which we filmed a very talented woodcarver extracting an elf from a tree trunk using his chainsaws. The idea of the story was that the elf had been imprisoned in the tree by a spell from a wicked witch!

"The Interview"

If you had called at the Cresta Court Hotel in Altrincham on Sunday 21st September you would have been surprised to come across a circus ringmaster, some clowns, a senior military officer, and some seriously well-dressed individuals, together with a motley filming crew kitted out with cameras, tripods, microphones, booms, lights and stands. The occasion was the filming of Altrincham Video Society’s entry for this year’s North versus South competition.

"Central Station"

In 2006, working to a competition theme of "A Dream Come True", the club made the video "Central Station" using the building housing our clubroom as a typical suburban police station and with club members taking most of the acting roles. The basic storyline involved catching a persistent local thief but with lots of humorous anecdotes on the way
