On Wednesday 5th May Altrincham members went for a tour of the BBC's Manchester (Oxford Road) studios. The highlight was the local TV news studio (North-West Tonight) as the big main studio there has effectively been decommissioned in preparation for the move later this year to the new Salford Quays Media City complex, which will house the largest HD studio in Europe. Jim Gray, in picture 2, can be seen presenting the weather in their Interactive Room. Sadly he was wearing a blue top that, as you can see on the screen, made him appear quite holy!.
